    Candidate for Commissioner - Mark Fiorello

    Hi, I am Mark Fiorello and I am running for Commissioner.  To keep this short and sweet, my hope is to keep our league strong and growing while seeking a balance between being competitive on the NAGAAA level and satisfying the needs of PSSA as a local league.  I have extensive experience with the league and on the board, including 2 years in the Commissioner role from 2016-2017.  Thank you for your support and good luck to all of the candidates running for other positions this season!

    Candidate for Competition Coordinator - Wes Irvan

    Howdy everyone, my name Wes Irvan and I am running for Competition Coordinator. If elected for my second term one of my goals is making the league an even playing field for all players, regardless what division you are in. I will use my two years of experience as Competition Coordinator coupled with my knowledge of our rules and bylaws to ensure the best interest of the league is at the heart of every decision I make. I will continue to provide the same welcoming and encouraging atmosphere that I fell in love with 6 years ago to all our members. Lastly, I want to continue the focus on our membership and make player retention a priority.

    Candidate for Compeition Coordinator - Brock Sishc

    My name is Brock Sishc and I’m running to become Competition Chair on the Dallas PSSA Board of Directors.  This is my fourth season as a member of PSSA and during my time playing, the league has helped introduce me to countless wonderful friends and granted me   many fantastic memories, that I feel now is the time to start giving back to the League and it’s membership. The position of Competition Chair is responsible for organization and planning of games, tracking results, league equipment procurement, and chairman of the Fall Ball Committee.

    Professionally, I am a post-doctoral research fellow at UTSW, which essentially means that I’m a Jack of All Trades ranging from budgeting, project management, international collaborations, and the presentation of scientific work.  I finish all tasks on time and deliver with high standards and if there’s a problem without a solution, it’s my job to find one.
    Specifically regarding how that experience will help to be a successful Competition Chair, my experience in project management will help with day to day operations making sure that tasks are completed timely and information and scheduling are distributed  and completed as quickly as possible. My experience in procurement for budgets in the range of several hundred thousand dollars a year have prepared me to manage equipment accrual. Finally, I want to work especially closely with the Recruitment Chair to not only make Fall Ball fun and exciting for new players as well as Veteran members, but to be a strong recruitment tool to bolster participation during the spring season.

    Candidate for Public Relations Coordinator - Brandon Woodfork

    My name is Brandon Woodfork, and I have been in the Dallas area about 2 years. I relocated to Dallas from New Orleans, LA where I began playing softball under the NAGAAA organization. While in New Orleans, I was able to contribute to the league board as both a team manager and team coach. The past 7 years have truly been an enjoyable experience for me. When I moved to Dallas I committed to get more involved in league activities. Most recently, I served as the 2019 Big D Easter Bonnet Classic Tournament Director. Ultimately, I felt this was a good way for me to give back to the league as so many people before me contributed to my enjoyment of softball. I am running for the Public Relations Coordinator position to further share a great softball experience to both new and existing PSSA members.

    Candidate for Public Relations Coordinator - John Terrell

    I have been a member of PSSA for 10 years.  While in the league, I have played and coached at multiple levels.  Currently I coach the Thunder Kitties in E and play on Woody's Wreckin' Crew in C.  I believe this experience gives me a fair voice when it comes to board decisions.

    Outside of PSSA, I work in information security for Medical City Healthcare.  Prior to this position I was the website administrator.  My responsibilities included updating all of the facility websites and coordinating with marketing on a daily basis.

    If elected to the Public Relations Coordinator position I would ensure the PSSA website is updated as quickly and as accurately as possible.  I would make sure every team in the league has fair representation to assist in their fundraising efforts.  Promotion of league sponsors, news, and events is very important to me.

    Candidate for Public Relations Coordinator - Albert Morales

    My objective as PR Coordinator is to work with outside agencies and with the current sponsorship and recruiting coordinators to increase our visibility to the DFW metroplex. As former secretary, I helped design the current paperless registration system that is still being used today. As a board member, I will strive to make sure that I represent the WHOLE league which I think includes non-competitive members that just like to play the game. We are only elected to the board to be the voice of our members.

    Pegasus Slowpitch Softball Association is a Dallas based non profit organization dedicated to the promotion of quality amateur softball of all levels of play for persons of any race, creed, religion, sex or national origin, without prejudice, and with special emphasis placed on the participation of members of the gay community. The goal of the league is to provide a sports outlet for individuals as a means to meet like-minded people, improve their athletic abilities, promote good sportsmanship and organize and promote participation by its' members in social, cultural and charitable activities as may serve our community. We are committed to continued growth of our league, not only in number, but also in striving to give back to our community.
